Centennial Park, Strathroy
The Denning Brothers Funeral Home is a participant with the St. Clair
Region Conservation Foundation’s
Memorial Forest Program. For each family served by funeral home, a tree
is planted in memory of their loved one. Each year a dedication is held
to celebrate the lives of those who have passed away. This program is
unique for the Foundation since trees are planted throughout the
Strathroy area on public lands, wherever there is a need.

McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest Dedication
September 16, 2012
2pm
Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area
The McKenzie and Blundy Memorial Forest Dedication commemorates all
of the trees planted in the memorial forests over the last year through
the McKenzie and Blundy Funeral Home in Sarnia. Trees are a very fitting
tribute. They act as a living testimony - a testimony which speaks to
the future of our planet. When we celebrate the human spirit by
investing in forests, we not only bestow honour upon our loved ones, we
also enrich our environment by helping to fulfil the urgent need for
green space.
Over the last 20 years more than 5,000 trees have been dedicated in
memory of loved ones at the McKenzie and Blundy Memorial Forests. In
addition to the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area, trees have been
planted at the Perch Creek Habitat Management Area, also in the City of
Sarnia.
