CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) Event
Join us for the SCRCA’s first CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) Event at the Lorne C. Henderson Conservation Area!
In order to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines, this year’s geocaching event has been adjusted. New caches will be in place prior to the event but we encourage people to spread out and focus on cleaning up the trails.
This CITO event is being held outdoors in a region of Ontario that is confirmed to be in Stage 3 of the pandemic reopening (Lambton County).
Feel free to drop in anytime between 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Due to current COVID-19 regulations, contact information will be collected from attendees; this information will be kept private and will only be used should an attendee become aware that they have tested positive, or been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive, for COVID-19.
PLEASE NOTE – In order to assist in maintaining safe physical distancing, THIS EVENT WILL BE CAPPED AT 50 PARTICIPANTS. Please email [email protected] to indicate the number in your group if you plan on attending.
The Lorne C. Henderson Conservation Area has public access. Attendees should be aware that there is a possibility of contact with non-geocaching folk (muggles).
Please consider wearing a FACE MASK and bring your own GARBAGE BAGS, GLOVES and HAND SANITIZER. Additional garbage bags and gloves can be provided during registration.
Attendees must practice physical distancing at all times, as per provincial guidance.
Please focus your CITO efforts on the 5 km of trails. Items collected during the CITO can be dropped off at the blue garbage bin located within viewing distance of registration.
For more information on a CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) Event contact Sharon at 519 882-2399 or by email at [email protected]. The Lorne C. Henderson Conservation Area is located 4 km west of Petrolia at 3653 Petrolia Line.
