St. Clair Conservation has both a seedling and large stock tree planting program which is available to private and public landowners.
Tree Seedling Program
The SCRCA offers private and public landowners the opportunity to order tree seedlings for their property, along with planting and maintenance services. Tree seedling orders open online annually in January until the end of March (or while supplies last) with delivery to the Strathroy area in late April/early May.
Large Stock Tree Program
St. Clair Conservation works with local nurseries to purchase large stock trees in bulk for distribution to private landowners for plantations and windbreaks, and municipalities for road-side planting. Large stock tree orders open annually in January until the end of March (or while supplies last) with delivery to the Strathroy area in late April/early May. Large stock trees are also available in the fall. Please contact Conservation Services staff for details.
Wildflower Plugs
To help further improve the native plant diversity throughout the watershed, native herbaceous plants are also available for purchase in the spring. These plants are available for pick up in the Strathroy area in late April/early May; species availability varies. Please contact Conservation Services staff for details.
