Appropriate Dress
The out-of-doors is an enjoyable place to learn if you are adequately prepared. Proper dress is extremely important when outside at any time of the year. In order to maintain enthusiasm and stimulate learning, students should be dressed to suit the weather. Rubber boots and rain coats should be worn during wet periods, warm clothes on cool days and of course layered water and wind proof clothing in the winter. Winter dress should also include hats, scarves and mitts. Insect repellent, sun hats, and light weight long pants are important on hot days. No sandals please.
Other supplies that prove to be handy on outdoor excursions are: a well-equipped first aid kit, medication for allergies or bee stings and insect repellent (if the season dictates). Insect repellent will be supplied.
